Meet Professor Ricardo “Pantcho” Feliciano Pereira

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt (4th Degree) · Head Instructor & Founder, Checkmat Murrieta

Professor Ricardo “Pantcho” Feliciano Pereira earned his black belt from Checkmat founder Leo Vieira in 2007. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, he relocated to the United States in 2008 and has been teaching in the Temecula and Murrieta area since 2009.

Known for his dynamic pressure passing, deep technical understanding and positive leadership, Professor Pantcho is a three-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion (Masters) who still competes today. He has coached students at every level, from first-day beginners to professional fighters.
